Day 1 - Arrival into Beijing

Arrive in Beijing and be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be free to spend at your leisure to soak in the atmosphere with some free time in the afternoon.

Guilin

Day 2 - Beijing

After breakfast embark on a guided tour starting at Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest square of its kind encompassing 440,000m2. Next you will visit the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City. This landmark symbolizes both the imperial and traditional China. After lunch continue onto the Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven, praying for both peace and good harvest.Enjoy a Peking Roast Dinner and a Peking Opera Show before returning to you hotel.

Day 3 - Beijing

You will visit one of the eight wonders of the world, the Great Wall. It is a symbol of Chinese civilization, history and heritage. After lunch, continue your guided tour as you visit the Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors were buried during the Ming Dynasty.

Day 4 - Beijing to Xian by Air

After breakfast, you will board the morning flight to Xian. Upon arrival in Xian you will be met and transferred to your hotel. After lunch, your tour begins by seeing the once flamboyant and sophisticated Tang Dynasty Capital, Xian. Visit the Xian City Wall, a symbol of great significance to the historical city of Xian. Continue on to the Big Goose Pagoda where you can overlook the whole city. After sampling the local Dumpling Dinner experience a traditional Tang Dynasty Show.

Day 5 - Xian

After breakfast come face to face with the Terracotta Warriors. The extraordinary 2200 year old lifelike reproduction of the army of China’s First Emperor Qin. After lunch you will visit the Banpo Museum, a village set up by the late Neolithic people. Continue on to the Banpo Museum a village built by the late Neolithic people.

Day 6 - Xian to Chongqing by Air

Take the flight to Chongqing. Have a city tour of the Chongqing Museum and the Residence and Headquarters of General Joseph W. Stilwell Chief Commander before boarding the Yangtze Cruise Ship.

Day 7 - Yangtze River to Fengdu Cruise

After breakfast the first stop on the journey is Fendu which is also known as “The Ghost City”.

Day 8 - Yangtze Cruise

Today you will have an excursion to Baidicheng where you can see local culture along the banks of the river. The cruise continues as it winds its way past Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge while drifting in the Shennong Stream. See the wonder of the Dam Shiplock and the Three Gorges Dam which is the largest hydropower station in the world.

Day 9 - Yichang to Wuhan by Road

The cruise continues past the Xiling Gorge and arrives at Yichang. A local tour guide will meet you at the port and drive you to Wuhan. Stay overnight in Wuhan.

Guilin

Day 10 - Wuhan to Guilin by Air

Enjoy the morning seeing the city of Wuhan. After lunch transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 11 - Guilin

Wake up early and set off for Zhujiang Pier. Be inspired as you enjoy a cruise along the crystal clear waters and breathtaking views of the Li River. On board enjoy a relaxing lunch while experiencing the serenity of the mountains, countryside and villages. Disembark at the old town of Yangshuo a famous spot for its spectacular views of the surrounding scenery and Chinese handicrafts. Transfer back to your hotel in Guilin.

Day 12 - Guilin to Shanghai by Air

Today you will visit the Reed Flute Cave, a fantastic wonderland of caves and landscape scenery. Then move onto Elephant Trunk Hill, named for its striking resemblance to a great elephant drinking water. The elephant is the symbol of Guilin. After lunch transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. At the airport be met andtransferred to you hotel.

Day 13 - Shanghai

After breakfast visit Yuyuan Gardens, a classical Qing Dynasty garden with over 30 pavilions linked by a maze of corridors and bridges over oriental ponds. Continue on next door to the “Old City God’s Temple Bazaar”, where you can walk through markets, shops and restaurants. After lunch visit the Shanghai museum one of the best museums in China. You can enjoy some free time in the afternoon to shop in the nearby Nanjing Road and Huai Road famous for its wares.

Guilin

Day 14 - Shanghai

After breakfast visit the Jade Buddha Temple the most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. Then proceed to The Bund, the most noted waterfront and architectural symbol of Shanghai. Continue your tour to Shanghai’s new zone, and view Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the world’s third tallest TV tower. Finally take a one hour leisurely cruise along the Huang Pu River. After dinner enjoy afantastic Acrobatic Show

Day 15 - Leave Shanghai

Transfer to the airport for departure.
